I’m often told: "Hats don’t suit me." And I disagree with that.

I’m often told: "Hats don’t suit me." And I disagree with that.

Over the years, I have heard the same phrase many times:

“Hats don’t suit me.”

And every time, I smile.

Because I have not yet met a woman whom no hat at all would suit.

But I have met many women who simply have not found theirs yet.

Many people think everything depends only on the shape of the face.

Yes, that matters.

But it is far from everything.

Sometimes it is enough to change the fit of the hat just a little. Wear it slightly asymmetrically. Choose a different color. Or replace wide brims with softer ones.

And suddenly a real miracle happens.

Not only the look changes.

The expression changes.

The posture changes.

The mood changes.

I always look much more broadly than just at the shape of the face.

For me, height, proportions, clothing style, character, movement habits matter, even the way a person smiles.

After all, a headpiece is not a mathematical formula.

It is an extension of the person.

That is why I never rush to say:

“That doesn’t suit you.”

I look for the option in which a person recognizes themself.

And when a woman suddenly looks in the mirror and says:

“And yet this really is me…”

— that means we have found her hat.
